Myxed Up delivers an amalgamation of different bass music genres on his Brimstone EP. Opener "High Treason" lays out a tense and hard hitting atmosphere. "Terminal" follows up with a nod to Myxed Up's album, "The Stars Told Me To" laying out a lush soundscape with a rolling drum rhythm and deep bass reminiscent of his earlier works on Gradient Audio. The release's title track "Brimstone" continues the textured atmosphere of its predecessor and brings the energy up while fusing 2 Step and Future Garage elements together. The EP ends with "Morphine" washing over you and slowing things down with its loose trap and down-tempo backbone supporting the piano and other textures floating over the drums and bass.
